How to update the Ubiquiti UNAS Pro

Open UniFi (web at unifi.ui.com or the local console, or the mobile app).
Go to Settings, then System, then Updates.
Update the console first, then the adopted devices.
Devices reboot one at a time; the network drops briefly for each.
